The Kocatepe brand, founded by Madam Marusia in 1919, took its place on market shelves with Nurettin Tunçay in 1949, and established Turkey’s first “Coffee House” concept with Haluk Tunçay in 1996. Today, Kocatepe continues its journey with Time Food Group CEO İncebey Ulubay, operating with 5 different self-service coffee shop concepts and the 1919 dry coffee roaster concept.

In 1996, Kocatepe became Turkey’s first creator of the “Coffee House” concept, bringing together coffee and accompanying delicacies in an elegant environment. It also established Turkey’s first “Coffee House Franchise system,” starting to appear in many cities and earning the title of Turkey’s first “Chain Coffee House.”
Kocatepe 1949 has taken a pioneering role in raising quality and standards in the coffee sector by carrying its knowledge and experience from the past into the future. Its biggest goal is to introduce Turkish coffee, one of the symbols of Turkish culture, to new generations and carry this unique heritage into the future by presenting it to their taste.
With its Coffee House concept, it has successfully combined both Turkish coffee and various world coffee types with its unique food and beverages under a modern business umbrella. It continues its life as Kocatepe 1949 Cafe & Restaurant with its currently operating branches.
